I receive alot of submissions of items created with a ginkgo motif. As one can expect, I have seen most easily found ginkgo items. If its a front page Amazon item, or etsy item, you can be sure I’ve seen it.

I’ve consulted with a couple of artists now, who wished for ginkgo inspiration for this or that project and sought my input from a ginkgo ‘as an artistic motif’ collector eye. I’ve got a particular taste that I feature on this blog. Straying away from the Arts and Crafts movement, and more I feel, abstract or Impressionist.

All of this said…

Its become more and more difficult to find items I feel are truly inspiring to me and the asthetic I enjoy collecting via this blog…and perhaps my audience…which by the way impresses me daily when I look at the Stats!

For artists who come for similar inspiration….theres a few things that I wish have been created in the ginkgo shape…either in a refreshed manner or period at all or would like to see more of.

The running list of items I am still seeking:

stained glass

embroidery

paper craft

shaped soap

tattoos

wood burning

inlay/marquettry

furniture

fixtures

gadgets!

childrens room/decor

pajamas

lingerie

kinetic sculpture

costume design

bridal gear i.e. gowns, themed weddings etc ( I receive many contacts about this particularly!)

TRULY unique and one of a kind jewellery

..

more to come
